Growing from sidewalk cracks at the base of an industrial building, the Dandelion celebrates the Woonasquatucket River’s persistent and beautiful presence in Providence. Like the river, the dandelion flower is resilient, nourishing, and an undervalued gift of nature. The sculpture mirrors the natural transformation of a dandelion with two interchangeable blooms—one with a bright yellow blossom and the other with a puffy white seed head.
