Design work to modernize this beloved but aging neighborhood grocery included layout planning, accessibility improvements, signage, facade upgrades, and point-of-sales stations. We constructed a new checkout area to improve the user experience for shoppers and cashiers alike. The scope of the partnership expanded when the Co-op opened a second location. We outfitted the new space with sales stations, custom millwork, and interior build-outs. Colorful ceiling “clouds” create human scaled spaces and points of activity within the large commercial space.
